About this property

Lundy House is a stunningly-presented, recently refurbished, semi-detached holiday home located in the charming village of Port Isaac in Cornwall. Boasting three bedrooms and ample garden space with sea views, this abode is a perfect base for families and groups of friends wanting a Cornish getaway. Step inside to find bright and airy rooms filled with natural light streaming in from large windows, offering picturesque views of the Atlantic and Port Gaverne from every angle. Voted one of Cornwall’s best wild swimming locations there are few better spots to take in the views. You can enjoy the newly decorated interior with freshly painted ocean themed features, new carpets and flooring. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to whip up delicious meals, including a brand new oven. You can kick your feet up on the plush sofas in the sitting room for a family movie night or curl up around a book or magazine. Make use of the large garden with its sea views where you can watch the sunrise with a cup of tea in the morning or watch it set with a glass of wine in the evening. After freshening up with a hot shower in the family bathroom, slip under the fresh sheets of a double bed to catch your rest. For those looking to indulge in local cuisine, The Golden Lion pub serves up delicious seafood dishes or instead grab a coffee and a light bite at The Slipway cafe, with its stunning views of the harbour. For a more sophisticated bite, why not try the high profile restaurants down at Port Gaverne with Pilchards at Port Gaverne and Port Gaverne Restaurant & Hotel: both excellent options. You’re also a short stroll away from Outlaws New Road Restaurant and The Angry Anchovy for a wonderful slice or two of pizza. Take a scenic stroll to Bert Large's Chair for panoramic views of the coastline, then head to Wavehunter for a Sea Safari or some surf lessons. Head slightly further out to Polzeath and Trebarwith Beach for even more scenic local surfs. Drive up to the beautiful village of Tintagel and explore the ruins of Tintagel Castle, perched on a dramatic cliff and steeped in Arthurian legend, delve into the mystical world of The Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, filled with artefacts and stories of ancient sorcery, and don't forget Merlin's Cave, said to be the legendary wizard's secret hiding place. For a dose of nostalgia, the Tintagel Toy Museum showcases a collection of vintage toys and games. Head to the coastal town of St. Austell and visit the world-famous Eden Project, a stunning botanical garden housed in futuristic biomes, take the kids to Kidzworld Adventure Play for endless entertainment and activities, and soak up the sun at the stunning Porthpean Beach, with its crystal-clear waters and golden sands. There's something for everyone to have a memorable stay at Lundy House.

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. There is ample parking at the top of the village and the village is a popular tourist destination with plenty of attractions, including the beautiful Lundy Bay, known for being the filming location of the hugely popular Doc Martin series. You may be lucky enough to see the infamous Fisherman's Friends performing on the Platt during the summer months singing traditional shanties. There are also plenty of pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village. Just a short drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike.
