Kellan is a stylish and modern cottage in Cornwall, praised for its great layout, spaciousness, and stunning views. Guests appreciate the property's thoughtful interior design, easy beach access, and well-equipped amenities, making it suitable for up to 8 people. While some minor maintenance issues and suggestions for improvement were noted, these did not significantly impact the overall positive experiences.
The property generally appears to be well-kept, though there are mentions of a heavily stained carpet, dust under the bed, and overflowing bins on arrival. These issues suggest room for improvement in cleaning routines.
The location is highly praised for its pretty beach views and easy access to the hillside path, contributing to a relaxing holiday experience.
The property is considered comfortable, with a spacious arrangement suitable for a large party. However, there is a mention of an uncomfortable bed in the master bedroom and warm downstairs bedrooms, indicating some concerns with comfort.
Facilities are generally good, but there are several maintenance issues reported, such as a non-functional dishwasher, loose shower cradle, and a TV remote held together by tape. Additionally, the lack of instructions for appliances is noted.
There are no mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches beyond the provision of the property's amenities and equipment, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The seaside village of Polzeath boasts a sandy beach, which is bordered by rock pools and is acclaimed to be one of the best surfing beaches in the country. Polzeath itself has a number of small shops, cafes and restaurants, and the South West Coast Path, a 630-mile route, runs through the village. Just over seven miles away is the popular market town of Wadebridge, which is set alongside the River Camel and offers an array of shops, pubs and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's only family-owned cinema. There’s wonderful countryside in the area, with the renowned Camel Trail passing through the town, and the nearby town of Padstow, with its harbour, pastel-washed medieval houses and celebrated restaurants is well worth exploring. Within driving distance is the UK surfing capital of Newquay, with over 11 miles of golden sandy beaches. Polzeath is an excellent base for exploring this part of Cornwall.

The kitchen could do with some re-equipping as we had to buy some sharp knives, cloths and a washing up brush. The hot water pump is remarkably noisy and probably needs some maintenance or replacing. Otherwise all great. Very comfortable and clean and worked well for our week with the 5 of us. Many thanks.

Somewhere to hang and dry wet suits would be the one improvement that would make a huge difference

The bed in the master bedroom was extremely uncomfortable.
