The garden and the provision of amenities like a dishwasher and washing machine add to the convenience. While there were minor maintenance issues and extra charges for linen and cleaning, the overall experience was positive, with many looking forward to returning.
There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide an accurate score.

The house is described as comfortable, bright, and fresh, with enough space for families and all the basic equipment needed for a pleasant stay.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped house. However, there were issues with a tumble dryer and a garage door, which were investigated but not resolved during the stay.
Guests appreciated the little extras and the notes on how everything works, indicating the owners' care. While gifts are mentioned, it should be noted that these are not guaranteed for future guests.
The Holiday House is a well-appointed, four-bedroom home, perfectly located in New Polzeath, a stone's throw from Polzeath beach and Pentireglaze Haven. Stylishly furnished throughout, The Holiday House also boasts an enclosed, lawned garden, a garage for parking, and flexible sleeping arrangements, ideal for family and group getaways. A light, welcoming hallway leads into the practical kitchen/diner, where guests can rustle up and enjoy homecooked meals together, whilst the maritime-chic lounge is a lovely room to chill out in after a busy day on the beach; sink into a chair and watch a favourite film before sloping off to sleep. A twin bedroom and light, bright family bathroom rest on the ground floor; of the three bedrooms upstairs, one has a super-king-sized bed and the other two are twin bedrooms. New Polzeath is a stunning place for a seaside holiday; walk down the steps to the beach for an exhilarating surf or boogie-board, or stroll along the path to Polzeath village for food supplies, cafes and restaurants. The coastal path is just across the road; follow it to explore the rugged cliffs of Pentire Point and The Rumps - iconic landscapes of North Cornwall and important wildlife havens. Lundy Bay and Epphaven, are smaller, quieter coves nearby, well worth a visit with their beautiful backdrops of coast and sea, or head to Padstow for further attractions, where you can board Sealife Safari boat trips, tour the National Lobster Hatchery, or enjoy the golden sands of Trevone Bay. However you spend your Cornish break, experience all of this, and more, from The Holiday House.
Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.

Comfortable beds with a choice of duvet thickness. Showers are good, plenty of hot water. Sitting room probably a bit small for 6 people. Plenty of crockery and cutlery but could do with a more hygienic chopping board- we could only find a wooden one and also needs a big serving spoon. Garage was a pleasant surprise, big enough for our skoda yeti complete with roof box. On the downside, the cleaning could have been better, dirty fridge and pans, clumps of dog hair in the corner. Some of the sash windows were very dirty - I understand this is difficult with sea spray and wind, though some of the casement windows were much cleaner.

It had all we needed for a great week surfing and walking.
