Conifers is an attractive, stone-fronted holiday cottage, located at the top end of Rock Road in North Cornwall. A beautifully decorated and furnished self-catering property, Conifers offers well-proportioned and warm spaces, with under-floor heating and an open fire, ensuring a homely retreat at any time of year. Hidden from the road by a thick hedge, the property has a lawned garden and plenty of parking space, along with four stylish bedrooms, accommodating eight guests, and two in the bunk beds. With the contrast of its traditional exterior and contemporary interior, Conifers offers plenty of character and comfort. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen with its sleek cupboards and slate floor; chill out in the living areas with its deep sofas and cushions; and gaze out onto the countryside from the balcony of the master bedroom, which also has its own dressing area, whilst an unusually spacious family bathroom adds to the feeling of luxury and attention to detail.
A holiday in Rock gives you the chance to explore so many of the different aspects of North Cornwall. Local beaches and the village shops are a short drive away, whilst guests can nip over the road to the pub or join the footpath adjacent to the property to walk across the golf course and downhill to Polzeath Beach. Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.

The property really needs a good clean as there are so many cobwebs and spiders. On arrival we tried to hang a coat on the coat hooks on the wall and the entire thing fell off! The mattress in one of the rooms is so old, it has dips in where it has been slept in so much. You advertise the house as having an open fire but donât provide logs or any fire tending tools. Why is the tv in the lounge on the floor?? You could do with some signs for low ceilings; two of us are 6 foot and hit their heads twice! There is so much mould in the bathrooms and you canât open the windows or blinds properly. The main bedroom has the thinnest curtains and the layout of the room means it is impossible to even see the TV if you wanted to watch it in the bedroom. In all in all, a very expensive two nights in a house where we didnât feel comfortable walking around without shoes on!!

Cottage was really clean and very comfortable, spacious and great enclosed garden. We stayed over new year and were not dissapointed. Lovely touch of welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. I was slightly concerned before we arrived as there are a couple of negative reviews but oh my these people need to get a life. Im not sure what they were expecting but the negatives are not there. Will definitely book again.

.....after checking some facts with your office, there is no garden table, the fridge is not an icemaker, there are no seats in any bedroom, there is room but non provided. Your office reply from the photos on the details, well its time the photos were updated so their info is more up to date. Its a nice place but lacks a lot to make it a comfortable home from home stay and thats a big shame. Details let it down
