Tintagel home to King Arthur's Castle, is a Cornish coastal village. Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove are within reach, surfing a big attraction. Tintagel has pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust). The South West Coast Path passes through the village. Head north to Boscastle with its quay and pubs. Further afield are Newquay and Bude with their resort attractions, while Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow and the Camel Estuary are all within a 40 minute drive.

The warm and friendly welcome from John and Mandy gave us a solid base to start from. The location was perfect for walking the coastal path of North Devon, visiting National trust sites and other places of interested locally and within a few hours drive of the location. The accommodation was exceptional well equipped, extremely clean and very cost. I would strongly recommend Dowr Cottage

Well furnished and well equipped, very comfortable. Great location near Tintagel and short walk down to coastal path. Car parking was fine either outside cottage or in the off road parking area just up from cottage. Welcoming hosts provided cream tea and bottle of wine. Great to have tea/coffee, condiments and wash up liquid/dishwasher tabs provided.

The property itself was perfect for the two of us with all the mod cons you would hope for. The bed and sofa were very comfortable, the shower was powerful enough and everything was spotless when we arrived. The welcome pack was a lovely bonus and very much appreciated. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend Dowr Cottage to others.
