Parwin is a well-maintained and spacious cottage in Cornwall, praised for its location and well-equipped kitchen. Guests enjoyed the proximity to beaches and coastal paths, as well as the quiet, peaceful setting. Some concerns were raised about parking and bed comfort, but overall, the property provided a pleasant stay with a cosy atmosphere.
Most guests found Parwin to be clean and well-presented. There was an isolated incident of the property not being ready on arrival, but this seems to be an exception rather than the norm.
The cottage's location is highly regarded for its close proximity to beaches, coastal paths, and local pubs. The scenic and quiet environment was appreciated, despite some comments about the challenging local roads.
While the property is generally seen as cosy and spacious, several guests mentioned that the beds could be more comfortable. The mattresses were described as thin and springy, which affected the quality of sleep for some.
The cottage is equipped to a high standard, especially the kitchen. However, issues with parking, Wi-Fi connectivity, boiler pressure, and a lack of drying space for laundry were noted. Some guests also mentioned the need for more glasses in the kitchen.
While guests were generally pleased with their stay, there were no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness category.
Located in the peaceful hamlet of Treknow, Parwin is a charming cottage, just half a mile from the rugged north Cornish coast near Tintagel. Full of character, it has been carefully renovated and offers a comfortable stay in this beautiful part of Cornwall. Approached via five steep stone steps (with a rope handrail), the entrance hall leads to a cosy sitting room furnished with comfy, squashy sofas and a warming wood burner; the perfect place to snuggle up after a day out walking the coast path. The pretty, pale blue country kitchen diner offers a wonderful place to gather at meal times, and provides direct access to the courtyard garden. Two king size rooms (one on the ground floor with an en-suite shower room) and two twins provide flexible accommodation for friends and family holidaying together. The courtyard garden to the rear of the cottage is a lovely spot for a barbecue; sheltered and enclosed, it is a real suntrap and a great asset for those with children and pets. The patio courtyard has a drop of 2.5 ft to the BBQ therefore toddlers need supervision. Out and about, there is much to see and do; don't forget to pack your beach towel, and stroll down to the beach at Trebarwith. With lifeguard service and a surf school during the summer months, this beach is very popular with families, and allows dogs throughout the year. The local area is a ramblers paradise, with mile upon mile of coastal footpath to explore, as well as the wild and romantic Bodmin Moor just a short drive away. There are also several championship golf courses nearby, as well as Tintagel Castle and a number of quintessentially Cornish harbour villages including Port Isaac, the setting for ITV's Doc Martin. Just a short distance from the cottage are two lovely village pubs, one of which (The Port William) offers wonderful panoramic views of the cliffs and beach below.
Trebarwith Strand is an unspoilt cove on the north coast of Cornwall. A small hamlet just 2 miles south west of Tintagel, it has just a few dwellings and a country pub. This beach side community provides a great magnet for surfers and coastal path walkers. With majestic scenery, high cliffs and rocky coves to explore it's the perfect holiday retreat, while Tintagel with King Arthur's castle, a selection of cafes and restaurants and an old Post Office is just one mile away over the cliff tops. The area is perfect for exploring the major surfing beaches to the south as well as the open spaces of Bodmin Moor just 10 miles to the east. The major beach resort of Bude is 12 miles away while Boscastle with its quaint harbour and pottery is just 4 miles away. Newquay, the Eden Project and the cathedral city of Truro can all be reached within 40 minutes by car.

Olde worlde is feels nice. Parking is a major limiting factor and the locals, not all, are unwelcoming to say the least!! Uncompromising, poor drivers and very rude. The oven doesn't work as we found in the middle of cooking a meal and the toaster needs replacing. Many rules and regs to follow. Not the place for us at all.

We really enjoyed our stay and the courtyard was lovely to sit in on the sunny afternoons we had. The rooms were nice and big and very comfortable. The walk down to Trebarwith is lovely and only takes about 10-15 min. Just a minor suggestion, there were seven of us and we found that there wasn't really a sufficient frying pan or saucepan to cater for a meal for that amount of people. We did however really enjoy our stay and I would highly recommend Parwin to anyone! Thank you so much!
