The property sits on three acres of land, which guests are welcome to explore, including an organic vegetable and herb garden, a chicken house for fresh eggs, and ponds home to beautiful Cayuga ducks.
Downderry Village is just a 20-minute walk downhill, offering a charming local pub with stunning 180-degree sea views and a restaurant. The beach stretches along the coastline in both directions, revealing rock pools to explore at low tide. Heading west along the beach, you’ll reach Seaton Village, where two beach cafés and a children’s play park await. From here, you can also enjoy the scenic Otter Trail along the river through Seaton Valley Park.

This is a super cottage. Very charming, well equiped and tastefully decorated. Welcome hamper a lovely touch. Owner really friendly.We had a very relaxing week here.

We recently stayed at Horseshoe Cottage and had a mixed experience. The cottage itself was lovely – very clean, comfortable, and well-presented. The host was extremely welcoming, and the surrounding grounds were beautiful to walk around, which we really enjoyed.That said, there were a few downsides. The walk to the beach wasn’t really practical for us – the lane was extremely narrow, very steep, with potholes on either side and no passing places, so it didn’t feel safe with a baby and dog. Around the private patio and parking area there were quite a few nettles that made it a bit awkward to use comfortably. Inside, there were a couple of small niggles, like the stairs being slippy for our clumsy lab, and the downstairs shower not having much hot water.Overall, it’s a clean and welcoming place to stay, but realistically you do need to drive out to the beach or local amenities rather than walking

A beautiful and well maintained property with everything you could need. A generous welcome basket on arrival and much appreciated. Guy was a great host and ensured we had everything we needed. A comfortable and relaxing location for a wonderful holiday in Cornwall.
