Guests appreciate the well-maintained site, welcoming pub, and the lodge's homely feel. While some minor maintenance issues and the steep walk to the beach are noted, these do not detract from the overall positive experience.
Guests consistently mention the lodge's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotlessly clean', 'very clean', and 'clean and tidy'. This suggests a high standard of cleanliness throughout.
The location is praised for its quietness and stunning views. However, the steep walk to the beach and the distance from shops are seen as minor inconveniences.
The lodge is generally regarded as comfortable and homely, though there are comments about an uncomfortable sofa and ageing decor.
Facilities are well-received, with a few reports of minor maintenance issues such as light bulbs needing replacement and a temporary issue with the fridge/freezer.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Great wifi. Some notes for the owner: - lightbulbs need replacing with low-energy ones, some are missing altogether - we couldn't make subtitles work on the TV - info about recycling / rubbish would be useful - heating controller needs new batteries (I fitted one to make it just work) - most importantly the exterior woodwork needs some protection applied urgently to prevent deterioration

Couldnât fault the property at all.

The lodge was clean and comfortable. Decor and fittings are showing their age a little.
