Upalong is a former coach house and superb holiday accommodation resting over the first floor in the lovely village of Downderry, Cornwall. Boasting panoramic sea views reaching over the nearby islands and the dog-friendly beach at the end of the garden, this property is ideal for a couple, friends sharing or even a solo traveller looking to explore the gorgeous Cornwall coast. With easy links to surrounding towns and villages by car or via bus and taxi services, and an array of eateries nearby, the convenient location makes this holiday home perfect for less active guests too.
Inside, find a well-equipped kitchen where you can rustle up your beach picnic, or a tasty home-cooked dinner, before making your way to the living/dining room to enjoy your meal at the dining table while planning your itinerary. Here, you can also take advantage of the sofa bed, or simply unwind and watch the Smart TV while the fresh sea air blows in through the Juliet balcony. Downderry is a modest Cornish beach town. Downderry offers a protected beach, Post Office, store, deli, cliff-top tavern, and good restaurant offering local food. At low tide, you can walk from Downderry to Seaton, where you'll discover a family-friendly south-facing beach. The neighbouring Seaton Valley Countryside Park and Nature Reserve is home to otters and kingfishers and provides cycling and walking options. Looe and Polperro are within easy driving distance, while the South West Coast Path takes you to rugged coves, stunning headlands, and shipwrecks and smugglers.

the kitchen lacked most utensils to cook a meal ie only two saucepans and a very old and battered frypan. At a price of £2800 for two weeks stay i expected a certain level of comfort, but sadly it was not home from home. The one star goes to the welcome pack.

The property was spacious and very comfortable. My only concern was no mention of the shared garden and the fact there are 4 properties on the site. I felt this was misleading. We still had a great time and would have no problem recommending you. I have marked down maintenance as the bedroom door and ceiling need painting
