A wonderful cottage nestling within the village of Par on the South Cornwall coast. Perfect for visiting the ancient seafaring village of Fowey, set in an area of incredible natural beauty, with narrow streets, boutique shops and restaurants. The mainline train station at Par is within a short walk, where you can let the train take the strain and visit Plymouth, the historic Naval city to the East, or West to as far as Penzance.
Padstow, Truro, Newquay and St Ives are easily reached on the line, with some of the finest beaches and breath-taking scenery in the county. Par Beach, with it’s sand dunes and coves in just a 10 minutes’ walk, whilst iconic Charlestown, with its fleet of tall ships is a must visit and a step back in time. Par itself has a supermarket, fish and chip shops and several traditional pubs, whilst St Austell has a wide array of amenities, just 15 minutes away by car. This superbly presented holiday home is set back from the road in a quiet residential area.
The ground floor has oak flooring throughout and comprises of an open plan kitchen/diner, well equipped including a Belfast Sink, fitted fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is a downstairs loo and handy utility room with washing machine. The living room is the perfect place to unwind and relax after a busy day exploring, with TV and very comfortable seating. Upstairs boasts two bedrooms, one with double bed, the second a twin room. A spacious shower room completes the first-floor accommodation. Outside, your private garden has a lovely patio area with garden furniture, where you can enjoy morning coffee or favourite evening beverage as you plan tomorrow’s exploits!

The Potting Shed is an excellent conversion. It provides a beautiful 2 bedroom cottage that is well furnished and equipped. A lovely home from home a short walk from the beach and an easy short drive to the National Trust's Lanhydrock House and estate. The ability to charge an electric car is a bonus

What a beautiful place The Potting Shed is. A brilliant layout, and we really appreciated the utility room as an unexpected bonus. Furnished with good quality furniture and with some quirky pieces that gave it character, such as an old workbench as a side table in the kitchen and a vintage telephone and radio on the hall table. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Very decent shower. Plenty of parking on the driveway and a lovely courtyard area to sit outside. This was also useful when coming back from the beach with our dog, as I sat outside with a dog towel and brushes.It is dog friendly, but dont let that put you off if you dont have a dog. There had been a family with a dog the week before and you absolutely wouldnt have known it it wasnt in the guest book.The beach is roughly a 15 minute walk away and there is a handy SPAR shop and Co-op in a few minutes walk. Par has a lovely relaxed feel and very friendly and sense of community.Train station is a 5 minute walk away and St Austell is only a short drive, as is Fowey, though you can catch a bus just outside.Sarah gave us a few ideas for places to go. One in particular to go on the train to Penzance and walk to Newlyn to a fabulous fish restaurant was a winner. We hope to go again.
