About this property
This detached cottage is situated in the hills two miles from the Devon town of Chagford, in a rural spot within the 15 acre grounds of the owners' house. Comfortable and welcoming, it is a fine cottage for families or friends to enjoy. The porch and large hall lead through to the bright sitting room with its slate floor, wood burning stove and French windows giving splendid views to the moorland hill of Meldon and access to a little patio. The dining room also has French windows to the patio, where you can enjoy a barbecue. The large kitchen is well equipped, and you have a useful downstairs shower room.
Upstairs (stairgates), three bedrooms, all with wood floors (rugs) - the 2 master doubles (5' bed) with en suite shower-room (suite) and a twin. Bathroom (bath and shower). The garden is enclosed and sheltered by a rhododendron hedge. From the cottage, head out on a twenty minute walk to the open moors, with its tors and ponies and sheep, and there are other lovely countryside walks from the door. Chagford offers a choice of shops and inns, as well as a seasonal outdoor pool and tennis courts, and the cathedral city of Exeter is just 17 miles away. Sandy beaches are a 20 mile drive.

There is a wide range of shops as well as four pubs. Chagford also has more active facilities such as public tennis court and an open-air swimming pool to enjoy at your leisure.
