Arrival Information: Darwin Escapes check-in’s are available from 16:00. If you are likely to arrive later than 18:00, please call our resort reception team on 01297 678 402 to let them know.
Departure Information: Check out time is at 10:00am on the day of your departure. Darwin Escapes kindly ask that you leave your accommodation as you found it.
Hot Tub Information: Please note due to water change and maintenance your hot tub may not be up to the correct temperature when you first arrive. By using the hot tub you are agreeing to Darwin Escapes’ terms and conditions, and agreeing that you have read their hot tub safety information, found here.
Travel Cot Hire: You can request a travel cot on your booking. Please note you must bring your own mattress and bedding for the cot. Please note travel cots may not fit in double/master bedrooms in selected units, please call reception on 01297 678 402 for more information if a cot is needed.
Bathrobes: Bathrobes are available to hire for £5.00 per bathrobe. Please note: Bathrobes are only available on a request basis when you arrive at the park.
Pets: Please make sure that you have included your pet in your booking. If your pet is not included, Darwin Escapes will either relocate you to a pet-friendly lodge, if there is one available, or holds the right to refuse access to the resort. You may be liable for any charges incurred.
Resort Facilities: Hawkchurch’s facilities are currently working at a reduced capacity and pre-booking for any spa treatments or food at the restaurant is essential. Please book by calling the resort reception on 01297 678 402. Hawkchurch’s hydrotherapy pool is for the use of ages 16 years and over only. Please see Darwin Escapes’ park rules here for more information. The gym can be used by people over 16 years old only. You can access the gym by visiting reception, you may be asked for a fully refundable deposit.
Group Bookings/Party Types: A security deposit may be requested on arrival.
Work parties: No Work vehicles or Workwear will be permitted on site. Un-authorised Work Parties will not be allowed to stay.
Please note any guests under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Arrival Information: Check-in is available from 16:00. To make your check in as smooth, quick and easy as possible, we’d like to request you call ahead for specific arrival information and to inform our reception team of your car registration number in advance of your arrival, particularly if you’re arriving outside of normal working hours. Please contact the resort reception on 01297 678 402.
Travel cot hire: You can request a travel cot on your booking. Please note, there is no bedding provided and the mattresses are folding, thin and firm and is provided by manufacturer. We require you to follow the safety instructions, which state not to use a secondary mattress or any padded bedding such as pillows or quilts. You must bring your own bedding (e.g infant sleep bags). Please contact reception for mattress dimensions should you require. For further information on safe sleeping in travel cots please refer to information available from sites such as the Lullaby Trust. Important travel COT information Manufacturers instructions are provided at the point of issue and cots are cleaned in line with these after each use. Please also be aware that travel cots may not fit in double/master bedrooms in selected units, please call reception on 01297 678 402 for more information if a cot is needed.
Hot Tubs in Premier Accommodation: Please be aware the hot tub may not be up to temperature when you first arrive due to water change and maintenance.
Departure Information: Please ensure you leave the accommodation by 10:00am on your day of departure.
Pets: Please note, if you are planning on bringing your pet or animal on holiday, this must be included in your party make up when booking. If you arrive on holiday with an undeclared pet/animal, the park operators are entitled to either relocate you to suitable pet/animal-friendly accommodation (if available) or refuse access to the Park. You may also be liable for any Pet charge, cleaning costs and/or relocation costs incurred. Please check with the retreat prior to including any extra pets. Any pets arriving undeclared could be asked to leave the retreat if there is no pet accommodation available.

In line with government guidance and to ensure you and your family are safe during your stay all leisure facilities, restaurants and bars are currently closed to guests. A takeaway and delivery service will be available from restaurants and bistros.
Please note the sauna and steam room at Hawkchurch Resort and Spa is being replaced. Due to this, they will be unavailable to use from the 8th May through to the 18th of May 2023 (Potential noise disturbances). Please note the Hydro pool will remain open for these dates.
We aim to always assist you in making the most of your holiday and wanted to advise you of the tree works around the powerlines that will be taking place on the park between the 22/05/2023 - 26/05/2023. The park have assured us they will try their best to keep any disruptions to a minimum however, do want to advise that their could be some slight noise disruption. We hope you're looking forward to your stay at Hawkchurch Resort & Spa. We want to inform you that on October 15th, we will be conducting our essential electrical compliance testing.
Unfortunately, this necessary testing will impact your stay on that day. Here's the timeline:
9:00 AM: The main electrical supply will be turned off to allow our engineers to conduct the necessary testing across the site.10:00 AM: Power will be restored to the main complex, and our engineers will then proceed to check each lodge individually.Between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM: each lodge will be individually tested and power returned once completed, We anticipate that power will be returned to all units by 4:00 PM.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
The main building facilities will be operational from 10:00 AM onwards, so you are welcome to enjoy those amenities during the day.

The national grid has just notified us that, on Wednesday, November 13th, they will be carrying out urgent work on high-voltage underground cables. As a result, there will be a temporary power cut in the local area. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control, and we are unable to change the timing of the work.

Please be advised that there will be a scheduled power cut at Hawkchurch Resort on Thursday, 21st November 2025, between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. This outage is due to essential maintenance work being carried out by the local power provider.
As a result, our usual check-in time of 16:00 PM will be delayed to 18:00 PM, to allow our team sufficient time to restore full operations and ensure all facilities are ready for your arrival.

This holiday was perfect, the location was spot on for us and our families and the lodges were amazing! We really want to come back! The staff were helpful, restaurant/ Bistro really nice and dog friendly too, the area was well thought out, tidy and pleasing to the eye, there was nothing that you haven’t thought of in the lodges incl tea towel, washing liquids, welcome doggy box and Christmas card, it was amazing and we don’t want to go home , Thankyou so much for a wonderful place to stay for Christmas

We have in this lodge before. Lovely and comfortable , had 3 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. Our boiler went wrong and it was sorted out within an hour , good service. Spa is fabulous and enjoy the relaxing pool , steam room. Great location near places to visit , shops nearby which was great as we stayed for Xmas .
