Seascape is a spacious and bright one-bedroom holiday home located within the Regency coastal town of Sidmouth. This property is a superb base for a couple looking to explore the town’s pebbly beach, coastal paths and a range of restaurants, shops, and cafés. The Byes River and Margaret’s Meadow Park can be accessed directly from the back of the well kept large garden, accommodating a summer house with garden furniture, several shrubs and a large oak tree. The seafront and town centre are just a 20-minute level walk away or a 1 ½ mile drive.
As you enter the property, head into the living room which is comfortably furnished with plenty of seating, a gas fireplace, and a Smart TV with Freeview. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to prepare a home cooked meal, including an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and a slimline dishwasher; there is a washing machine and a tumble dryer for guests to use in a utility area in the garage.
After a busy day exploring the area, step into the large back garden which has a lawn and outdoor seating. As the evening draws to a close, drift off to sleep in the well-presented bedroom with its kingsize bed and shower cubicle in the room. The family bathroom is fitted with a shower over the bath, sink and there is a separate toilet next door.
Take a five-minute stroll into Sidmouth town centre to find everything you need during your stay; there are plenty of shops, restaurants, cafés, and pubs to choose from. You are within a level 15-minute walk to the picturesque and tranquil award-winning beach with its long and level esplanade, surrounded by awe inspiring cliffs that gives a very secluded feel. Take in the beautiful views of the Jurassic coastline which stretches for 95 miles and has over 185 million years of history. The town and the seafront offer a wide range of sporting activities, while quiet serenity can be enjoyed in the town’s parks and gardens. Sidmouth’s largest park, The Byes, affords a tranquil environment for a riverside stroll or cycle. Sidmouth offers a variety of interests to all visitors - young and old alike.
Most of the surrounding countryside has been designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty or is owned by the National Trust and the nationally renowned Southwest Coastal Path can easily be accessed. Sidmouth town is within easy reach of many attractions including the cathedral city of Exeter, Dartmoor National Park, and The Eden Project. Local attractions are Crealy Family Adventure Park, World of Country Life at Exmouth, and Sidmouth’s world-famous donkey sanctuary. Beach 20 minute walk away

Seascape suited me well. I have 2 dogs. It was great to go out the back gat and be on The Byes, walking, cycle track and nature park areas, leading to the town and coast.The only small niggle was that the garden wasn’t dog proof (mini and standard dachshund)The bungalow was well equipped and clean. Heating and WiFi worked. Very quiet. I only gave it average in chart above because the sitting room chairs weren’t very comfortable. Bed was good.

We really enjoyed our break at Seascape, it’s a warm, comfortable and clean home from home in a fabulous location. The enclosed garden is great for dogs although the visiting squirrels did cause a bit too much excitement for ours! It’s an easy walk via the back gate down The Byes into Sidmouth which is a lovely small town. One of the main reasons we visited was to go to The Donkey Sanctaury just outside of town in Weston. It’s a fantastic place and a great charity, the cafe is well worth a visit! Seascape is perfect for a couple looking for a quiet and comfortable base to explore the area with amenities very close by. We would definitely return!
