We enjoyed staying at Shippen Cottage - the courtyard was a glorious sun trap with wisteria, an olive and a magnolia tree creating a perfect place for breakfast. Compared to some of the other cottages on the farm the kitchen and bathroom were quite dated but suited our needs. The downstairs shower room would benefit from a non slip shower mat to make the floor less slippery and hooks on the door to hang towels. We would have used a vacuum cleaner had there been one, to leave the cottage as clean as we found it. Several of the cottages have a hot tub - we would love to try one of these! We would definitely return and have begun planning a family trip - with the range of accommodation available Boswell Farm offers flexibility in a beautiful location. The cleaning staff we met were friendly and helpful. We loved the walk into Sidmouth. The site is generally well cared for - the fence at the back of the cottage we stayed in had a panel lying on the grass with nails sticking up. We had several sunny afternoons sitting in the garden watching herons and swifts flying overhead. The sunsets and stars were magnificent.

Beautiful rustic cottage in a wonderful quiet area. Very clean and well run. We had a wonderful few days here. Mother in law was also with us.There was 2 steps to her bedroom which she managed well.We did contact the owners direct to ensure it was suitable and they was quite to reply with extra photos to ensure it was suitable.Looking forward to returning

The cottage suited our needs and the location was lovely. Enjoyed the countryside and acces to coast. Kitchen isnt especially well equipped, with old appliances, water presure not good (but fed from a spring so cant be helped). Comfortable beds and sitting room, relaxed environment and lots of parking so all in all a big from us!
