Guests say

Charlesmead is a well-received cottage in Uplyme, Dorset, praised for its privacy, beautiful views, and well-equipped amenities. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches, comfortable furnishings, and the welcoming nature of the owner, Ian. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.

The cottage is consistently described as clean and well-kept, with multiple reviews highlighting its tidiness. This suggests a high standard of cleanliness that guests appreciate.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and proximity to Lyme Regis. The picturesque walk and excellent bus service are frequently mentioned, indicating a prime location for a holiday stay.

Guests find the property comfortable, noting the cosy atmosphere and comfortable beds. However, one review suggests that some furniture could be updated, slightly impacting the overall comfort score.

The property is well-equipped, with guests appreciating the available appliances and extras. Nonetheless, there are comments about the need for maintenance and updates, particularly in the garden and some interior furnishings.

While guests mention a lovely welcome basket and appreciate the provision of essentials, there is not enough information to determine if such thoughtfulness is consistent across all stays. Therefore, while these gestures are noted, they are not guaranteed for future guests.

welcome pack, nice touch. Property cannot be seen from the road, name plate at end of drive would be useful. Very narrow road, unable to see either way when exiting the drive onto the road, have to drive off blind. Decking very slippery when wet, note on patio door would be useful.
