Guests say

Honeysuckle Cottage in Exeter offers a cosy, rural retreat with a warm welcome and comfortable beds. The location is quiet and ideal for exploring the local area, though the slow WiFi and lack of mobile reception may not suit everyone. Cleanliness is generally good, but an isolated incident with dog mess was reported.

The cottage was described as tidy and clean, but there was an incident involving dog mess outside the property, which suggests room for improvement in the exterior cleanliness.

The cottage is praised for its quiet, rural setting near Exeter, with proximity to Dartmoor National Park and the south coast, though some guests found the single lane roads and potholes challenging.

Guests found the beds very comfortable and the cottage warm and cosy, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, the dining area was noted to be cramped.

The cottage has a good-sized shower with adequate water pressure. However, the slow WiFi and lack of mobile reception were significant drawbacks for some guests.

There are no mentions of gifts or special touches from the host that would indicate thoughtfulness, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

There was dog mes outside of the cottage, when I left in the dark the first morning. I managed to tread it into my new car.

This is a very cosy cottage in a very quiet location. There's lots to do in the area.

We loved our mini break at Honeysuckle Cottage. It’s only 5 miles from Exeter but it’s such a beautiful rural location. We received a very warm welcome from the owner. The cottage was warm and cosy. The beds were very comfortable. The shower was a good size with good water pressure. The WiFi is slow but this was an added bonus for us as our Granddaughter spent much more time engaging with us😄.
