Honeysuckle Cottage offers a cosy and peaceful rural retreat, ideal for those seeking relaxation and a break from city life. Guests consistently praise the warm welcome from the hosts, the comfortable beds, and the well-decorated, clean interiors. The location is tranquil yet conveniently close to Exeter and local attractions. While the cottage is well-equipped, some guests noted the slow WiFi and lack of mobile signal, and recommend bringing essentials. The property is well-maintained, with a lovely woodburner and access to a fishing lake, making it a charming countryside getaway.
Most guests found the cottage very clean and well-presented, with only one mention of dog mess outside as a negative. Overall, cleanliness is a strong point.
The rural, quiet setting is highly appreciated, with easy access to Exeter, Dartmoor, and the south coast. Some mention of single lane roads and potholes, but overall the location is praised for its tranquillity and convenience.
Guests highlight the cottage's cosiness, comfortable beds, and effective heating. The peaceful environment and good shower also contribute to a comfortable stay.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and a woodburner with supplied logs. However, slow WiFi and limited mobile signal are noted drawbacks, and guests recommend bringing basic supplies.
The hosts are frequently described as very welcoming and friendly, providing helpful local tips. While no gifts are mentioned, the warm hospitality stands out. Please note that gifts are not guaranteed.
