Guests say

Valley View is a highly praised lodge in Devon, consistently celebrated for its cleanliness, tranquil location, and comfortable amenities. Guests are enamoured by the stunning views, wildlife encounters, and the relaxing hot tub. The property's thoughtful touches, including a dog welcome basket, are frequently mentioned, contributing to a serene and delightful stay.

Reviewers consistently note the lodge's exceptional cleanliness, with no traces of pet hair and a fresh smell, even in a pet-friendly accommodation. The high standard of cleanliness contributes significantly to the guests' overall experience.

The lodge's location is lauded for its peace, quiet, and beautiful countryside views. Guests appreciate the seclusion and the proximity to wildlife, including sheep, deer, and birds, which enhances the tranquil experience.

Comfort is highly rated, with most guests finding the beds comfortable and the lodge well-equipped. There is a single mention of uncomfortable beds, but this appears to be an isolated opinion compared to the overall positive feedback.

Facilities, including the well-equipped kitchen and the hot tub, receive high praise. The maintenance of these amenities is appreciated, although one review mentions an overgrown driveway, slightly impacting the score.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in the provision of welcome gifts such as flowers and chocolates, and a dog welcome basket. While these gestures are warmly received, it is noted that such gifts may vary and are not guaranteed for every stay.

. Views are out of this world and seeing red deer, buzzards and many other bird species was a real treat. Would definitely recommend to friends and the hosts Peter and Annie are always at the end of the phone to sort out any issues you might have.
