Outside, there’s space for active time too, with an all-weather tennis court and wide communal lawns and fields shared with other holidaymakers. This is an easy-going base for families who enjoy days out, knowing there is plenty of space and activity back at the cottage. Barnstaple is known for its historic pannier market, riverside walks and lively atmosphere. It is an excellent base for exploring the spectacular beaches of Saunton Sands, Croyde and Woolacombe, popular for surfing and coastal walks.
