Park up, unpack, step into your lovely new home-from-home, where you’ll discover a collection of well-appointed living spaces featuring a fully-equipped kitchen where the chosen chef can rustle up a tasty, home-cooked dinner, a dining area where you can gather to savour your meals, and a sitting area with two sofas, a rocking chair, and a TV with DVD player that serves as the social hub of the home. Explore the 2 nature trails on the farm, or enjoy the large lawned area with its picnic table and slide for younger guests.

There is also a barbecue on hand to help with the preparation of a delicious alfresco feast! The owners have negotiated a special rate for access to an indoor swimming pool situated on a neighbouring property.

The pool is only shared by 5 other properties should you fancy a swim. When the sun has set, head back inside and refresh with a rejuvenating soak in the bath before you settle down for much-needed rest in one of the three inviting bedrooms. If you can tear yourself from your tranquil base, you’ll find plenty to do within a short drive. Head south to Barnstaple, a river-port town home to several convenience stores and supermarkets where you can stock up on essentials, as well as a wealth of pubs and restaurants for you to dine at when you fancy a break from cooking. When you’re ready, jump back in the car and head to some of the noteworthy landmarks and attractions that can be found nearby. Exmoor Zoo and The Big Sheep theme park provide a great day out for all the family, whilst the properties of Arlington Court and RHS Rosemoor offer a refreshing change of pace. Golf enthusiasts can enjoy a round at Saunton Golf Club, whilst an afternoon spent fishing can be had at Blakewell Fisheries. Barnstaple enjoys a superb location at the mouth of the Taw Estuary, on the spectacular North Devon coastline between Westward Ho! and Croyde and is a short drive from the Exmoor National Park. Barnstaple is a busy traditional Devon coastal town with a pannier market, shops, restaurants and bars, along with two fabulous sandy beaches, which are popular with surfers and families. The town is renowned for its floral displays having won a Britain in Bloom award and flowers are found around every corner of the town in the most unusual places. Barnstaple lies at the end of the magnificent Tarka line railway journey, which takes you through the spectacular North Devon countryside of wooded river valleys, rugged moorland and a stretch of coastline, plus close by is the picture postcard coastal village of Clovelly. A combination of numerous long sandy beaches and family attractions makes Barnstaple a desirable holiday destination.

    ..well looked after by our hosts including seeing the animals being fed and farmer full of interesting information....good location with lovely views

    The house itself is very quirky with sloping floors upstairs and wooden beams in the open plan living area. 3 bathrooms make this cottage very usable and were very welcome along with the 3 good size bedrooms. The grounds are immaculately presented and the kids loved the swing and slides on a large lawn. Overall we had a great time and I would highly recommend this cottage.
