Really lovely unique house,with spacious rooms. Comfortable beds.Fully equipped kitchen and lovely big dining table. Lots of thoughtful touches like tea,coffee,butter,bread (some treats) left for you to make it easier if you arrive late.Two of the large bedrooms had wonderful ensuites,and the one bedroom that doesn't has a bathroom just outside so we all had our own which is great if you are travelling with teenagers.My two teen boys loved the fact that there is a bedroom on each floor so they had their own space. We had no problem parking just outside the back courtyard garden. So just used the back gate as our entrance for our week there.Really recommend this characterful,spacious house and would definitely return.The little village of Chulmleigh is cute. People were very friendly. There is not much there,little convenience shop that sells most things. A charity shop,2 little pubs. We went into the old court house pub just accross the road which was a tiny little traditional pub but so friendly and welcoming.The house made a good base for travelling,we had family in Okehampton which only took about 30 minutes to get to.

We stayed at Victoria House for a long weekend whilst attending a family wedding. It's a great house with three beds & three bath rooms which is convenient when you are five people on a short, busy stay. The kitchen is well equipped, bright & is an easy space to work in. The whole house was super clean & importantly, had good hot water. One of my little bug bears with so many accommodations. From the moment we booked, we found host, Victoria to be helpful & attentive, going the extra mile to make things work for us. Case in point, one of my sons & I don't own a suit & because we were flying in from abroad, our options to resolve this issue were limited. In the end we rented suits online & Victoria kindly accepted delivery at her home the day before we arrived so that when we entered the house, the suits were unpacked & hanging in the bedroom wardrobes. She also helped with their return. She really did save us untold stress so thank you so much Victoria.Would we stay again? yes
