We were 10 adult guests, a mix of family and friends celebrating a future wedding for the bride and a 60th birthday. We had an amazing 7 days being together in the most beautifully positioned house overlooking a valley where you can see a range of wildlife, watch the sun rise and sunset and where on a clear night the sky is shimmering with stars. Indoors, the large meeting room, with the kitchen next to it was fantastic for a range of indoor activities and to be sociable without anyone being left out. The outside area with its beautiful position and views was another spectacular space to be spend time together. The bedrooms are quiet, cosy and warm. Bathrooms have great power showers with space to move around in. Downstairs also included one nice bath/shower for those needing a soak. We spent a lot of time around the School House itself, doing activities indoors and out, but we did head out to Lynmouth and Lynton which were both lovely places to spend a day. Lots of arts and crafts to buy and the architecture is fabulous, both places are like Victorian time capsules. It goes without saying that the coastal views are stunning wherever you go. Like others, we used the Toll Road rather the A39 for coming up and down Porlock Hill. It is absolutely worth the £3.00 for every journey if you don’t have a powerful car or are worried about the steep incline. Everyone in our group used the Toll Road eventually as it was just less anxiety producing. We all really loved our School House experience and will be letting all our friends know just how amazing it is. The School House really is a lovely place to stay as a group. Sara, Somerset

This is a very comfortable and spacious house to stay in. The location is superb. 9 guests, one dog all had a wonderful time. My 93 year old mother was with us and the downstairs bedroom with the ensuite was perfect for her. We have booked for next year!

A truly beautiful and well maintained property, warm and welcoming. Plenty of space for us all, 9 adults and 1 baby and our dogs. Can't wait to come back.
