The Old Piggery is a lovely 3-bedroom pet-friendly cottage in North Devon, sleeping 6, with off road parking and a fully enclosed garden. Recently renovated, it's tastefully decorated and well-equipped for your family's comfort. Downstairs is fully accessible with a bedroom and ensuite.
Accommodation
The well-equipped kitchen, to the left of the main entrance, boasts modern amenities for a self-catering holiday, including an electric oven with hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. The bright living room offers views of the countryside and features two sofas, an armchair (with the option of a riser), a wall-mounted TV, and a cosy wood burner for chilly winter evenings.
A convenient ground floor cloakroom, located opposite the main entrance, includes a wash basin, WC, and coat hooks. The open plan living area also houses a dining area with a spacious wooden table that can comfortably seat up to eight and can be extended if needed, accommodating a wheelchair with ease.
Patio doors from the living area open directly onto the patio, and a ramp can be provided upon request for easier garden access. The downstairs double bedroom boasts a king-size bed, armchair, wardrobe, and drawers, with ample space for wheelchair manoeuvring. The ensuite bathroom is fully accessible and includes a wheelchair-friendly walk-in shower with a seat and handrail, a wash basin, and a WC with grab rails.
The Master Bedroom on the first floor offers countryside views and a central king-size bed. Additional furnishings in the room include a wardrobe, set of drawers, and a sofa that can convert into a double-sized sofa bed upon request. The twin bedroom on the first floor features two full-sized single beds and provides storage through a wardrobe and set of drawers.
Completing the first floor, the main family bathroom offers a good-sized space with a wash basin, WC, and a shower with two attachments.

Good location and comfortable cottage. Could do with a bigger fridge. No washing machine in the property only access to owners washing machine.

We had another wonderful weekend away at The Piggery, this was our second visit. The facilities are great just what we need for all the family members, ie a ground floor bedroom with an ensuite wet room with hand rails etc and separate bedrooms and shower room upstairs. With such amazing weather being able to sit outside on the comfy garden chairs was an added bonus. Also the location is great in the countryside, but with Barnstaple quickly and easily accessible with plenty of choice of shops and supermarkets and then also having the beautiful Exmoor on your doorstep as well. We highly recommend this accommodation with the delicious homemade cream tea and milk to welcome you.

We spent 3 nights at the cottage in September and had a delightful experience. Communication before the stay was very rapid and helpful and sorted out a few anxieties about accessibility. He found it easy to get around the spacious and uncluttered downstairs easily. The wet room facilities were great although water temperature was not always very warm. Getting around the space was not a problem. It was lovely to have a calming view to look out on and to be in striking distance of some lovely coastal places, particularly Appledore and Saunterton. We cooked every evening and found a well equipped kitchen.
