There are five beautiful beaches in Ilfracombe, all of which are owned by the National Trust, which makes the town a popular tourist destination. Exmoor National Park, with its rolling countryside and charming villages, is only a ten-minute drive from Ilfracombe. A lively, friendly atmosphere is created in Ilfracombe's historic quayside by numerous pubs and restaurants, as well as regular live music performances. Take a trip to  Lundy Island on a boat trip or wildlife cruise to see some of nature's most beautiful creatures in their natural habitat, as well as catch some fish. Ilfracombe is also at the heart of some of the best walking terrain in the country.
