We had no problems with on road parking perhaps because it was not the height of the season. All the usual facilities were available. Would definitely use again when down that way.

20. The walk from the car park was up a steep hill and not nearby. Considering this weekend was 35 degrees heat only 2 of the windows open the flat and 1 had to be wedged to stay open, the other 2 windows are painted shut. The kitchen was quite poorly equipped with no tea towel and no toilet roll in the flat. So we had to walk back down the hill to the shop to buy some toilet roll. The flat was not that clean with black dog hair on the carpet and the carpet is quite badly stained. I would not book this apartment again, mainly because of the parking issue but the town is lovely.

Appliances are all new, instructions are in the kitchen drawer. Bed is comfortable with pull out under-bed drawers for empty bags. Its a perfect base for two people + dog to explore N.Devon coast. First floor apartment is upstairs in a quiet residential terrace and visitor parking is on the road designated by single yellow line overnight 6pm to 10am, on days we were not touring we used harbour long stay at bottom of St James park which has the best all-day rate. Excellent communication from the owner and we would recommend this apartment and Ilfracombe to friends and we would go back in future. The Hele watermill & tearoom is worth a visit. All pastied and cream tea'd out for now after an interesting and restful week.
