Combe Martin can be found near the confluence of Exmoor National Park and the North Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. All the essentials are available in this modest beach town, making it a popular destination for both locals and tourists. Combe Martin has a popular beach because of its sheltered cove, ideal for rock-pooling and paddle boarding. There is a Nature and Dinosaur Park in the town as well. Every year in May, Combe Martin hosts the famous Earl of Rone festival, and in August, the town hosts a funfair. North Devon's top attractions, including Lynton and Lynmouth, Woolacombe, Croyde Bay, Saunton Sands, Ilfracombe, and Barnstaple, are conveniently close to this location, making it a great home base for sightseeing and exploration. The National Trust also maintains a number of wonderful gardens and homes. Woolacombe is home to some of the best surfing in the region, and the South West Coastal Path passes by within a mile. If you're planning a trip to the coast, Combe Martin is a fantastic home base because it has activities for all ages.

Its a wonderful base for exploring north devon -20 mins to lynmouth and woolacoombe by car. The chalet had picturesque views of the open Devonshire countryside with a lovely balcony to sit and enjoy on an evening. Adjacent is a huge field where you can let your dog run around and play safely off the lead. Inside the chalet was cosy, spotlessly clean and everything you would need for a self catering stay. Owner/manager Kelly was so sweet and on the last day we went to check out, she said we could stay an extra night if we wanted too which of course we obliged as we didn't want to leave! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay we will certainly be back again in the future to visit this beautiful part of Devon!

This was extremely important for me when booking as I have an electric car, and charge it with a slow charger while away. Arriving late at night to discover this wasnât ideal at all. The reception team were rude when asking for an additional dog towel. It didnât state on the booking dogs couldnât be left, this couldâve been a huge inconvenience when I was down doing wedding stuff. On leaving at 9.55am I received a call telling us check out was strictly 10am when it was obvious we were loading our car to leave. And to top it off they make you discard your bin bag at the top of the hill on the way out, is this not a job the cleaners normally take care off?

It was spotlessly clean with a beautiful view. Also very well equipped with everything we needed. The bed was super comfy and the shower great! The staff were really friendly and helpful. All in all, we cannot really fault our stay and would recommend.
