Guests say

Jackdaw Lodge in Lynton offers a tranquil and picturesque retreat with stunning views and an abundance of local wildlife. Guests appreciate the spacious accommodation, comfortable furnishings, and the enclosed garden, which is perfect for pets. The property provides a relaxing atmosphere and is ideally situated for exploring the surrounding countryside and coast.

There is no specific mention of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide an accurate score.

The location is highly praised for its amazing views, proximity to Lynton and Lynmouth, and its position on the edge of Exmoor National Park, making it ideal for walking and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

Guests find the lodge to be very comfortable, with cosy sofas, comfortable beds, and a pleasant living space. The enclosed garden adds to the comfort, especially for those with pets.

While the lodge is appreciated for its size and the amenities provided, some guests feel that the kitchen and bathroom could benefit from an upgrade. The mention of low water pressure and the need for more kitchenware suggests that the facilities could be improved.

The hosts are described as helpful and friendly, and the provision of scones and fresh eggs on arrival is a thoughtful touch. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be provided on every occasion.

Lovely short break at Jackdaw Lodge. Completely relaxing from the moment we arrived. Cottage is in a beautiful location with great views out to sea. Farm animals wandering around outside were interesting to watch. The cottage itself was much larger than expected and had everything you could want. Sofas and beds very comfortable. The enclosed garden area was ideal for our dog to wander around safely, he was fascinated by the pigs and horse. Site is 5 minutes away from Lynton and Lynmouth. Highly recommended and hope to return sometime for a longer stay.

Jackdaw Lodge is an amazing, peaceful hideaway in a beautiful location, with amazing views of the Devon hills and sea. The living space is large and comfortable with a great view of the good sized enclosed garden, which my dog loved. We were lucky with very good weather so sat in the garden watching the sun go down and enjoyed watching the pigs and chickens stroll by! There is a large fridge, chest freezer and very comfortable kingsize bed. Jackdaw does need a bit of love; the kitchen and bathroom, whilst functional, could do with an upgrade. Also more saucepans and newer cutlery would be good. And the water pressure is rather low, but I forgave these issues as it was so lovely in other ways. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. We hope to return to Jackdaw Lodge in the future.
