Soft Sands is a top-quality apartment set within an architecturally designed, detached building which is located just a few minutes’ walk from Woolacombe, Combesgate & Baricane Beaches and offers quality accommodation for 4 guests.
Access is via steps leading up to the communal ground floor entrance and the apartment is on the first floor from there. The heart of this apartment is the open plan living space where you can open up the Bi-fold balcony doors and let the outdoors in while enjoying the enviable sea and beach views from within or out on the balcony. The apartment is furnished with quality furniture, fixtures and fittings and comes with the added luxurious benefit of full underfloor heating. The accommodation further comprises a modern kitchen with all the expected appliances including a coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine and in the lounge area a smart TV and an Xbox One. There are two bedrooms, a double with en-suite shower room with double walk-in shower and a twin bedroom. There is also a family bathroom with a bath and shower over and outside there is one allocated parking bay.
The village boasts 3 miles of golden sands, great surfing waves and a fantastic coastal footpath. Soft Sands is in a peaceful setting but there are shops, cafes, restaurants and a great boutique cinema in a local hotel too, all just a 10-minute stroll away! The main beach is patrolled by lifeguards in the summer, and you can make the most of the location for its beautiful sunsets, one of the spectacles regularly enjoyed by locals and surfers out on their boards in the Atlantic waters. Voted in 2020 No.6 in Europe & No.20 in the world, Woolacombe Beach is one of the best in the UK.
Should you choose to venture away from this stunning location, Woolacombe is perfectly positioned for exploring the truly awe-inspiring North Devon coastline and all its beauty and to enjoy the countless other North Devon attractions such as the popular Tarka Trail. Visit Exmoor National Park with its magical night skies in Europe’s first Dark Sky Reserve, just 13 miles away and Lynton & Lynmouth, 20 miles to the east with its incredible sea views, rugged cliffs and amazing funicular cliff railway which opened in 1890 and is the highest and steepest totally water powered railway in the world! If Woolacombe isn’t enough for you there are several other fantastic beaches such as Saunton Sands, Croyde and Westward Ho! – all of which are renowned for their surfing qualities, vast stretches of sand and great dunes! We had a great 3 night stay here in November. The star of the show is the wonderful view - keeps you entertained no matter the weather. The flat is accesible via external steps, so worth considering if you have mobility isues. The decor is lovely, everything you need is there and the flat is warm and cosy. Woolacombe beach is immense, so great if you are looking for a break away from it all by the sea with the dog! Recommended!
