They said it was a bit difficult to find and it was (ish) we did get lost on the last couple of miles but if you use What Three Words and put in, drank.blatantly.dolphins this will take you straight there.All the information that you need is sent via email as it is no contact due to Covid-19. We stayed in Oak lodge number 5, I won’t lie the lodge was fantastic it had everything that you needed for your break & the hot tub is massive The hot tub men Nigel & Pat came twice a day to check it was ok and always asked if everything was ok, they also had a wealth of knowledge as to where to go out for the day or somewhere nice to eat.We did have one problem on our last day ( Thursday) the boiler broke down so we didn’t have no heating or hot water Nigel & Pat did try to fix it right away but couldn’t so had to call engineer out, as time was going on and no engineer turning up they had already prepared Lodge number 3 just in case for us, so the last night we just slept and showered in lodge 3 which was also just as nice as our lodge but this had 3 bedrooms.Thank you Royal retreats for a lovely holiday and your Staff Caroline, Nigel & Pat are a credit to you

Nice quiet location. Great size hot tub Overall a very good stayCould do with a few small changes to make it more comfortable: no bedside lights, lounge sofas are to shallow and therefore not comfortable, could do with a kitchen island for food prep and storage, bin for recycling.
