Guests say

Bridge House is a spacious, beautifully presented cottage in a tranquil rural setting, ideal for families, groups, and dog owners seeking a peaceful retreat. Guests consistently praise its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped kitchen, as well as the stunning countryside views and access to lovely walks. Thoughtful touches such as welcome cakes and essentials are appreciated, though not guaranteed. Some features, like the sunken bath and multiple stairs, may be less suitable for young children or those with mobility issues. Overall, guests find it a welcoming and relaxing home from home.

Multiple reviews highlight the property as very clean, tidy, and well-maintained, with no significant complaints about cleanliness.

The rural, scenic location is widely praised for its beauty, tranquillity, and proximity to Exmoor and local walks. Some mention the narrow country lanes, but this is generally seen as a minor issue.

Guests frequently mention comfortable beds, spacious living areas, and a cosy atmosphere. A few note that the stairs and unique bathrooms may not suit everyone, but overall comfort is highly rated.

The cottage is described as well-equipped, with a good kitchen, games room, and thoughtful extras. Minor suggestions include more kitchen utensils and some maintenance points (e.g., sunken bath, loose paving), but these do not detract significantly from the overall experience.

Guests often mention welcome gifts such as cake, bread, milk, and breakfast items, as well as festive decorations at Christmas. Please note these thoughtful touches are not guaranteed for every stay.
