Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. After settling down on our first evening we discovered the central heating was not working which also effected the heated towel rails, we reported the problem to the agents and it was finally able to be fixed on the last full day of our holiday. The apartment itself is in a lovely position with everything you need provided, however the carpets are definitely in need of being replaced.

The only thing I would say is that we booked it to sleep 6 and I know from now on it is only going to be to sleep 4, but there was no bedding for the sofa bed. We managed to find a duvet but had to just put a spare sheet between ourselves and the duvet. There were also no pillowcases. I just feel that if they were still advertising it to us as a 6 sleeper, those things should have been provided.
