The kitchen/diner is amply fitted with all of the home-from-home amenities needed to cook up a storm, sporting contemporary décor, and guests can indulge in a heart-warming meal in the dining room, a truly lovely space with a bare stone wall and wooden beams adding a sense of history, or alfresco in the private patio that has table, chairs and a picnic bench. On the ground floor you will find a refreshing shower room where you can soak the sand from your hair, and on the first floor a bath ideal for relaxing amongst the bubbles, before retiring to one of the three tasteful bedrooms, beginning with a stunning master bedroom housing tall ceilings with wooden beams, wooden flooring, a TV, a king-size bed and a handy en-suite, and there is also a twin bedroom and a super-king-size zip-link that can be set up as a twin on request, both with tasteful décor, TVs and storage. Make the most of the sunshine with alfresco dining at the patio, enveloped in countryside views and fresh air, and the little ones can enjoy the play area on the large grassed area close to the property. This beautiful barn conversion is only a short distance from the coastal town of Dartmouth, where there is a stunning harbour offering views of the boats bobbing in the sunshine and the ocean beyond. Here you will find tasty eateries ideal for a family meal out, as well as independent shops and a convenience store so you can stock up on essentials and Park and Ride facilities are also close by. Take scenic walks along the River Dart, or enjoy countryside trails through the rolling hills, or there is the option to spend a day at one of the glorious sandy beaches, ideal for watersports, wild swimming and picnicking with a backdrop of the ocean and the salty air. History lovers will enjoy a trip to Dartmouth Castle and Kingswear Castle, and for an action-packed day for the kids, head over to Woodlands Family Theme Park. Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. For those seeking sandy beaches, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular beaches just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.
