Kipper Lodge is generally praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and well-equipped kitchen. The property boasts a lovely outdoor area and is conveniently located a short walk from Dartmouth centre. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds and large living spaces. However, access by car is challenging due to narrow roads, and parking can be tight. Some minor maintenance issues and a lack of certain kitchen items were noted.
Most guests found Kipper Lodge to be clean and tidy, with fresh linen and towels. However, one review mentioned a need for a deep clean, citing cobwebs and grime, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to Dartmouth centre and local amenities. The challenging narrow access road is a concern for some, but does not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback on location.
Guests are pleased with the comfortable beds and large living spaces. Some concerns about walking distances for elderly guests and parking difficulties for larger vehicles are noted, but overall comfort is rated highly.
The property is well-equipped, but some guests noted the absence of items like baking trays and a clothes airer. Maintenance issues such as a broken shower door and the need for a freezer de-icing were also mentioned.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews provided, so it is not possible to assess this category.

Dartmouth is located in the popular and attractive South Hams region of South Devon, along the banks of the lovely River Dart estuary. Dartmouth is one of the most well-liked tourist sites in Devon because of its location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and proximity to the shore. It boasts a magnificent waterfront, historic, winding alleys lined with quaint shops, eateries, and art galleries, as well as a variety of regional events like the yearly Dart Music Festival, the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, and the October Dartmouth Food Festival. The Dart Valley Trail, the South West Coast Path, and several peaceful rural lanes are just a few of the intriguing cycling and walking paths that can be found in and around Dartmouth. Both a ride on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the lovely countryside to Paignton and a boat ride to Kingswear and on to the charming harbour town of Brixham are essential. The South Hams region offers a variety of beach activities, including the Blue Flag Award-winning Blackpool Sands and the incredibly popular Slapton Sands, both of which are close to Dartmouth. A tranquil setting in South Devon.

Tables was filthy and front room coffee table and fire had not been dusted as was thick with dust, skylight window on landing was infested with flies (several flies). Doors upstairs to bathroom dirty. Shower door downstairs broken. The dirt is not a seasons worth , I would say this has accumulated over a period of time.bits of food in kitchen draws and fridge needs replacing. Itâs a shame as otherwise the property has all need and location good

Very narrow street - we just about managed it in our mercedes with about ½ inch either side! No issues with the stay itself, but we were informed after leaving that there was a stain on the carpet in one of the bedrooms. I am 100% adamant that we did not cause this stain, and , as the onus should be on the homeowner to prove that we did, I asked for date and time stamped photos of before and after our stay. Not only were none forthcoming, but my request was not even acknowledged. Instead, money was taken from my card with no further correspondance. I have no issue with paying for any damage we have caused, but in this instance I know we did not. Very disappointing, and left us in a bit of a financial trouble.

Thanks for the directions as the Sat Nav takes you to the ferry. Lovely property, big and well set out. All 3 kids loved having their own rooms. 2 decent size shower rooms and a separate wc meant no morning queues. Outside space is nice and has the sun all day.Great to have own parking and this is a lot easier than you first think. A couple of minutes walk into the harbour where there are plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs. We took the dog and had some nice walks along the coastal path and visited a couple of coves. Tough on the knees walking back up.Overall a relaxing holiday
