Walter's Rest is a contemporary third-floor apartment, set in the vibrant town of Dartmouth, Devon. As you arrive at the property following an exciting journey, pop down your bags and hang your coats in the hallway before heading into the living/dining room where you can cosy up on the sofa with a hot cup of tea. Make the most of time with family and grab a board game from the shelf for some friendly competition, before flicking on the TV and getting lost in a movie. Step down into the fully-equipped kitchen and rustle up a scrumptious evening meal for the whole family to enjoy around the dining table. No need to worry about who will be doing the dishes tonight, with a dishwasher completing the set-up. When you feel yourself drifting off, pick yourself up and wander into your bedroom for the week. At the end of the hallway, a bright and spacious double bedroom is the perfect place to rest your head and catch a full night's sleep. Wake the next morning feeling revitalised as you make your way into the shower room and indulge in a thoughtful and refreshing shower as you take your time to get dressed for the day. Pick out a suitable outfit for the day's activities in the twin bedroom, before pulling on your walking shoes and heading for the door. A short walk will take you to The Paddle Shack, where you can participate in an exhilarating paddle boarding lesson. Hire a boat and bob along the River Dart to the pretty hamlet of Tuckenhay and stop off for a bite at the Maltsers Arms. Visit the enchanting 14th century Dartmouth Castle to learn of the Hundred Years War and how the first castle in Dartmouth came to be. The nearby seaside town of Paignton is home to the Paignton Zoo, where exotic animals such as Bornean Orangutan and Cotton-Top Tamarin are waiting to meet you. Resting on the mouth of the River Dart, the town of Dartmouth is a vibrant tourist hot spot nestled in the beautiful county of Devon. Only issues were that there were no instructions to be found anywhere at all for the large appliances ie cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, so we had to guess what setting did what. Ironically the only instructions we could find were for the toaster, which is the one appliance for which you could do without instructions. Also, there were no black bags to be found for leaving the bedding and towels in at the end of the stay as requested, so we folded these and left them on the bed; on day one we had to buy our own roll of kitchen towel as was none although there was a holder for the same; the one small thin square of J-cloth issued for the week was not helpful; the two dishwasher tablets supplied were never going to last a week so we bought some of those too. These are all relatively small and easily rectified issues which if addressed would make the apartment five stars rather than four. Generally, a very good week was had, thank you.

Carpet on stairwell is fraying. We stayed in March and it looked much smarter Otherwise a very cosy little flat in great licayion

Perfectly situated in Dartmouth with everything you need on your doorstep. There was everything we needed and more provided in the apartment. Only downsides are the 42 steps upto the apartmemt and early morning noise from delivery drivers, but that would not deter us from returning.
