Guests say

Coachman's Lodge is a welcoming and cosy property, praised for its tranquillity and beautiful grounds. It offers a comfortable stay with well-equipped kitchen and spacious rooms. The remote location is ideal for peaceful walks to the coast and access to different parts of the coastline, though the narrow lanes may challenge some drivers. The property's charm includes squeaky floorboards, and it encourages recycling.

There are no specific mentions of cleanliness in the reviews, so it is not possible to provide an accurate score.

The location is appreciated for its tranquillity and proximity to the coast and quiet beaches, though some found it too remote. The narrow lanes leading to the property may not suit everyone.

Guests found the lodge comfortable, with a cosy atmosphere and spacious rooms. However, a mention of a sagging bed suggests a slight deduction in comfort for some.

The property is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, though there is a mention of a worn frying pan. Squeaky floorboards add to the property's old charm but could be seen as a maintenance issue.

There are no mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score for thoughtfulness.

Coachman's Lodge had all the amenities that we needed to make our stay cosy and comfortable, especially when the weather was not the best and welcoming to return to after a long walk.

Comfortable well equipped cottage. Quiet location set in nice grounds next to owners house and other holiday properties. If driving down single track country lanes isn’t your forte then you may need to reconsider or check on Google earth to see if it’s for you. The floorboards are squeaky, but it’s an old property and it’s just part of its charm. There are supermarkets in Kingsbridge, where we stocked up before arriving at the cottage as its approximately 7 miles away. The property encourages recycling ( glass ,cardboard, cans ,plastic and food) Special thanks to Mr and Mrs Baker, although on site were never intrusive but on hand if there were any problems. We visited for the New Year and would love to return in the summer given the opportunity.

We booked a late summer week at very short notice, where we could bring the dog along. The property is in a beautifully tranquil location, the trade off being a few miles of Devons narrow lanes. It has plenty of elbow room, and felt like home as soon as we arrived. The only downside was the squeaky floorboards. You can see bats flying over the lawns in evenings and early mornings. It's ideally placed to walk sections of the coast path, visit small coastal towns, and spend time with the dog on some lovely quiet beaches.
