….But there were a few practical glitches. There was no hot water on the Wednesday evening of our stay. We reported this to the agent at 9.30 on Friday, but no one had been to look at it by the time we left on Friday. It appears from the comments book that this is not the first occasion that this has happened. There were no instructions about the waste and recycling (what recycling goes in which receptacle and what is collected when). This probably explains why there were two overflowing bins plus a number of bin bags in the passageway. There were clearly several weeks of rubbish there, with the inevitable unpleasant smells. There was a lovely new bbq in the yard, but no gas bottle, so we couldn’t it. There was a lightbulb in the kitchen that needed replacing. Overall, the impression was of a nice property that required better maintenance and day to day management.

You literally could not ask for anything at this home away from home. Amazing comfortable beds that we all enjoyed. Having a washer/ dryer on hand was also a great bonus for a family like ours. We were accommodated at an hours notice when we decided on a whim to get away for the weekend. :) Beautiful beach of Chalaborough just a short drive away and Kingsbridge harbour was truly a sight to behold. Thankyou to the owners of this lovely comfortable cottage.
