Lovely place to stay, with plenty of room for everyone. Nice touch with the scones, jam and cream on arrival. Lots of shower and toilet facilities and kitchen equipment. Some areas of the house need updating and modernising, but this didn't affect our stay.

Large rambling bungalow with 6 bedrooms in fantastic location and large gardens within a 10 min walk down to Hope Cove. In general, the accommodation was fine with well equipped kitchen including washing m/c, dishwasher, fridges & freezers etc, Lounges and outside facilities were good. Bedrooms within the bungalow were clean and recently refurbished with modern beds. However, the bathrooms / separate toilets within the bungalow were starting to show signs of age and tiredness. The 6th bedroom was located within a self contained annex adjacent to the bungalow with its own shower / toilet and small kitchenette. The annex felt tired, the shower room in need of a re-fit, home made built-in wardrobes / cupboards all long past their best. This is a shame as overall the property was good, a great location and well suited to a multi-generation family holiday, which we all enjoyed. In summary, those with kids, parents & grandparents (as was our visit) or several families with young children wanting a no-nonsense base with loads of space to run around and enjoy in clean basic condition, its a great spot.If you are looking for a sophisticated property with new or nearly new fixtures and fittings, then it's probably not suited.

Firstly, thank you so much for the cream tea you left for us all, a very generous gift. We are a family of 9, 6 adults and 3 children. The property was large enough to all disappear and relax in comfort, plenty of seating areas indoor and out. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment, vacuum cleaner (we found the broom cupboard halfway through our holiday). Plenty of bathrooms and showers. Parking for 3 cars plus. Electric car charger (happy to pay the fee). The annex was a good size and allowed us to escape the children overnight. There was room for us to sleep in the main house but it was our choice to stay there.Easy walk to Hope Cove, about 20 minutes, small shop selling fresh croissants, and pastries, newspapers, milk, groceries and beach items. pubs and restaurants, parking.Very good walks of varied lengths so suitable for all. Narrow roads but worth the effort and everyone gives way and takes turns to pass.
