This oh-so pretty dog friendly cottage is one for the romantics - a large cottage for six, tucked away in the rolling countryside of Devon and close to the iconic Salcombe beaches. With an indoor swimming pool on the grounds, as well as a tennis court and outdoor adventure playground for children to explore (including a tree house to climb and conquer) this Devonian cottage promises a coastal holiday to remember. Spend evenings sitting by the glorious wood burner, or outside making the most of the outdoor pizza oven and BBQ!
West Wing is a quintessential Devonian stone cottage with gorgeous interiors, a romantic roll-top bath and beautiful sash windows throughout.
Set in the grounds of West Charleton Grange, there are so many wonderful things to do with the family. The indoor swimming pool will be an absolute hit with the children as will the trampoline, slide, climbing frame, sit on tractors and football pitch. A tennis court (also with basketball hoop) and outdoor table tennis will keep even the most competitive families entertained!
Explore the grounds (try to find the secret garden) and enjoy the comfortable outside seating areas for evening drinks, or eating al fresco. For larger gatherings, The Folly is a gorgeous entertaining space and we can help suggest private chefs for special occasions (please note that use of the Folly is an additional £150). Or simply prepare the popcorn, and enjoy a Hollywood blockbuster on the big screen inside.
As you come to the front door of West Wing, there are outside steps leading to the private courtyard surrounded by luscious greenery and a dining area for a morning coffee or evening meal.
Walking into the cottage on the ground floor there are two bedrooms (a twin and a bunk room) and a family bathroom. Upstairs the well-equipped kitchen and dining area flows through to the sumptuous living area. With exposed beams it really looks beautiful, and the log burner is the cherry on the cake when the nights start to draw in.
Leading off the living area is the generous master bedroom which is an oasis of calm with roll-top bath at the foot of your bed and a separate loo and sink tucked away.

We had the absolute best time staying here. The house, grounds and facilities are fantastic! The house was ideal for our group size and was clean, tidy and furnished beautifully. We loved the little bbq terrace outside for late night dining once the kids were in bed. The swimming pool and park area was amazing, our children loved swimming every day and the trampoline was such a hit! The whole place felt like it catered to adults and children alike and I think any age group would be happy here. Annie and the team were incredibly helpful and responsive too. The location was great for some quiet walks but also being near beautiful Kingsbridge and a short drive to Salcombe.

The information book had some excellent recommendations in too, we used the fishmonger, veg shop and butcher from the book and they were definitely worth recommending. We had a fabulous time here and will definitely look to book again.
