In the the heart of the pretty coastal village of Slapton on the South Devon coast Maple Cottage is full of traditional features, with low beams, wooden floors, inglenook fireplaces and a traditional farmhouse style kitchen as well as 3 comfortable bedrooms. A wander around the village, full of thatched cottages, well kept gardens and a Norman church will lead you past the two welcoming pubs and the village shop. A short walk soon brings you to Slapton beach and the Slapton Ley nature reserve, a haven for wildlife. The south west coastal path provides some amazing walks along the cliffs towards Start point lighthouse and a short drive in the car can take you to the historic port of Dartmouth or the market town of Kingsbridge at the head of the Salcombe estuary.
Accommodation: Front door to small hallway. Sitting room with sofa and armchairs, inglenook fireplace with multifuel stove, TV and DVD. Traditional slate floor farmhouse kitchen with free standing units, cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washer dryer, dining table and chairs. Rear outside cloakroom with hand basin and WC. Quite steep cottage stairs to first floor with master double bedroom with 4ft 6in double bed. Twin bedroom with two 3ft single beds. Single bedroom with 3ft bed. Family bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin and WC.
Outside: Although there is no outside space at the cottage, Slapton beach and the great outdoors are a walk or short drive away.
Parking One car in designated space just down the lane from the cottage.
