Spindrel is a bright and spacious lodge with a cosy atmosphere, located on the family run Gara Mill Lodge Park, an area filled with astounding natural beauty.
With an open plan living, kitchen and dining area, this space is ideal if you want to enjoy some quality time with family, or entertain your friends. You can step out onto your own private decking area with hot tub, giving Spindrel that extra touch of luxury.
This lodge is surrounded in beautiful woodland and gives you a true feeling of relaxation. Throughout the Gara Mill Park you will hear birds tweeting and the gentle trickle of the stream – perfect if you are looking for some peace and quiet.
In the surrounding areas you will not struggle to find things to do. With Slapton Sands just a short drive away, you can enjoy a day lazing on the beach and taking in the scenery. There are also river boat trips from Dartmouth and crab fishing on the jetty at Dittisham, you will be spoilt for choice for activities that your family will love.

...accommodation. Hot tub was very relaxing we would recommend it to friends. Ann was great in helping us when we misplaced our key, no drama. One thing I would suggest is that the steep approach to our lodge should be mentioned, we took our Land Rover, I think a lower car may have trouble making the gradient. ...Coming from London you get to hear traffic not cows. That was welcomed. The seclusion was ideal. Every facility was there. One problem is that there is no corner shop, so future guests are best advised to bring a small snack for supper. The nearest shop is 5 miles away. Sainsburys is a further 3 miles. But the local eateries are excellent and very reasonably priced. Stick with seafood as it's fresh and delicious. Overall a great place to go and I highly recommend it. ...with narrow country lanes, but all vehicles were courteous and we easily found Gara Mill from the easy to follow instructions. The lodge itself is in great condition and had more than we expected, with coffee and nice shortbread biscuits waiting for us. The bedrooms are well kitted out, heating was excellent , all the utensils you would need plus a wonderful hot tub with no one overlooking us. The surrounding area is very beautiful and there are numerous things to do and plenty of restaurants to choose from. We will certainly go back. Submitted by Roy on 15/04/2015
