About this property
2 Sea Gardens is a modern, spacious seaside apartment located in the heart of Hope Cove within easy reach of the beaches and slipway and just yards from the South West Coast Path. Stunning views can be enjoyed over the village and out to sea from most of the rooms and large South-facing patio.
From the parking area steps lead down to the entrance. The open plan living/dining room is tastefully furnished with leather sofas, Smart TV, a dining area to seat six comfortably and patio doors that lead out on to the patio. The well fitted kitchen features Corian work surfaces, Neff ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher.
Three bedrooms in total. The master bedroom is tastefully furnished with King-size bed, fitted wardrobes, TV and en suite bathroom with bath, shower (over), basin and w.c. The second bedroom has a King size bed, TV/DVD (viewing DVDs only) and en suite bathroom with bath, shower (over), basin, w.c. This bedroom has lovely sea views and access to the patio. The third bedroom, a twin room with two single beds, also benefits from sea views and a TV/DVDs (DVDs only). In addition to the two en suite bathrooms, there is a family shower room.
Outside, stunning views can be enjoyed from the patio, where there is a shared lawn area and direct access to the coast path via a gate adjacent to the property.
The picturesque fishing village of Hope Cove lies in a sheltered bay on South Devon’s coastline, offering superb views over Bigbury Bay and Burgh Island. A choice destination for families, two beaches offer soft sand for sandcastle building, plus rock pools great for entertaining children. The town remains a fishing village where crabs and lobsters are still landed, however it was once used by smugglers. Many ships have perished around the coast and the wrecks that lie beneath the waves make it a popular spot for divers. Above the beach there are a number of pubs and restaurants, including the popular café bar ‘The Cove’. The coastal footpath can be joined from here and leads towards the sandy beaches of Thurlestone and Bigbury-on-Sea in one direction, and the sailing town of Salcombe in the other.

The views across Hope Cove are wonderful. The apartment is very comfortable in all aspects and feels homely. We enjoyed reading the Hope Cove in Lockdown book and found the information and maps helpful for planning trips and walks. Thank you for such a welcoming and peaceful stay.

We hope to return in September. More instructions required re food waste recycling collection times and position of extractor fan switches for bathrooms. We did find them in the bedrooms. Kitchen well equipped but kitchen taps stiff to turn.

However in the middle sized bedroom, 2 beds put together I kept getting these small brown flies everywhere. I thought it was because of having the window open although never had them in the lounge where we had doors open most of the time. On leaving I went through all the draws making sure I had not left anything. On the draws in the chest of draws, which I had not used I opened it where there was a blue fabric blanket type and the whole draw was crawling with these flies. I left an exact note saying the room needed fumigating. Unfortunately I have brought these flies back to my house in my clothes I have since discovered. Going to have to speak with Rent-O-Kill. This is very disturbing and has put a damper on the holiday !!!!!!!Cant discover from internet what these flies are. Please communicate with owner and get back to me urgently as they may find out from their fumigation.
