Lovely place to to stay for Christmas, staff were very nice, but unfortunately we had no welcome pack with do,s and dont`s ie, no instructions for the heating controls and the wrong instructions for the oven, we had a problem with the heating, no heating in two of the three bedrooms. We did have the maintenance man come but situation was not sorted, we had a courtesy visit from him the next day to check but as we only had one day left we didn't want the bother of hanging around while an engineer sorted the problem, apparently the lodge next to us had a similar problem with the heating. We did have the loan of an electric heater. We would stay there again, we used the gym and pool amenities.

Very disappointed by this accommodation, extremely tired and was dirty when we arrived. It wasn’t cheap for 4 nights and definitely not worth the price. We had to clean the property for over an idea the day we arrived, we found lost property from previous guests and food left down the side of the chair. The deputy GM did come over to see us after we had complained to the booking agents and did give us some complimentary wine and offered for cleaners to do cleaning the following day. Cottages.com should not be marketing this property and showing the false marketing photos.
