The house is beautiful, warm and comfortable. The outside terrace area with wood burner was a wonderful place to spend an evening, and town is about a 10 minute walk. Dog friendliness much appreciated 🙂🐶🐶 Oh, and the steam train passes right behind the house, which is rather magical.

We were given very clear directions about how to find the property which was useful. The property is perfect for those wanting to visit the Polar Express Train. The train came past every so often which the children loved. The accommodation had everything we needed and more(really appreciated the soap/fairy liquid etc). I was apprehensive about booking this as I know dogs are welcomed and my husband has allergies to them. However, it was so wonderfully clean everywhere and smelt fabulous. The bedding/towels were so soft and plentiful. Biscuits and wine were left for us which was a lovely surprise. It was so cosy and warm. We hope to return again.

the Wood House is fabulous. Very comfortable and well equipped. The log burner was well used in the evenings and a lovely touch - lovely to sit out and stay warm and dry even when it’s raining. The Wood House was immaculately clean and they are not joking when they say all soft furnishings are cleaned for each new arrival - they were very clean and freshly washed, smelt lovely. The beds and pillows were also very comfortable. Great facilities for the dogs too - towels/blankets/bowls and doggy bags all provided which is a lovely touch.
