The heating only available as long as the boiler was turned on in the coach house above. A strong smell of damp considering previous occupants had only left that same morning that we arrived. A considerable step to access the property through the main door. And Lastly alack of lighting through the entrance gate when returning in the dark with the short steps and complete blackness is i`m sure an accident waiting to happen. Hot water a plenty and a good amount of equipment.(cutlery, glasses plates and so on) local pubs very good for eating (Castle inn rated the best) Very well placed centre point to use as base. But when you get to grips with the television very second time its turned on no volume (annoying)

Neither bathroom door shut properly. If they were forced it would have been very difficult to open them again. The patio area was poorly maintained with loose and missing stones and it was also overgrown. We could not get the tv to work despite changing the batteries in the remote. Very poor. The general maintenance was not what we expect from a Sykes property!!!!!
