The beach is a lovely 20 minute downhill walk, and you can cut through to a park and woodland which makes the stroll very pleasant. Teignmouth is a lovely location from which to explore South Devon and the Torbay area, with Dartmoor within easy reach.
The holiday home is the perfect base for a family or a group of friends looking for a relaxing coastal holiday. As you enter the property, head into the cosy living room which is comfortably furnished with plenty of seating and a smart TV with Freeview. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed to prepare a home cooked meal and the dining room leads through to the conservatory which offers a bright and peaceful space to read a good book. The garden is a real suntrap and has been lovingly setup for guests to enjoy the distant sea view with a patio area and outdoor seating. Head upstairs to discover the four beautifully furnished bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master has been beautifully furnished with a super kingsize bed, a Freeview TV and an en-suite shower room which enjoys the best sea view in the house! The second bedroom has a kingsize bed and the other two each have a set of bunk beds.
When you are ready to escape the charm of this property, you will be spoilt for choice with breathtaking scenery to explore. Teignmouth is a traditional seaside town on the south coast of Devon where you can enjoy traditional fish and chip shops, fine seafood restaurants and a collection of fun attractions. Just a short car journey from Teignmouth is Dartmoor National Park with tors, historical sites and ancient woodlands to explore.

We loved the location and the garden/ house which was generally clean ( except the fridge which I had to clean on arrival and some of the blinds need a good clean) . Kitchen well equipped but no hand soap or oven gloves. A few repairs needed to equipment ( two TVs in bedrooms not working, a missing bedside lamp, oven thermostat not working) . More instructions would also be useful - waste collection etc. The house is well equipped but looking a bit dated and needs some TLC/ modernising in parts - sitting room in particular , probably a new fridge. The location and sunny well laid out garden are the main plus points.

Excellent accommodation. Good communication from owners prior to stay. The property could do with some updating. The heating system controls are not modern. The biggest let down are the showers which are simply not powerful enough to be effective. Better quality towels would also be helpful. But the space and location are very much worth it. A good property.

Very spacious and very warm house - an important factor because we were there at the end of October and the weather was a bit chilly. The house is well equipped and had everything we needed for our three generation family. Most importantly there was so much space - great areas for family 'get togethers' and plenty of spaces for everyone 'to do their own thing.' It was a bit cold for us to use the garden much but it was clearly well equipped for summer evening activities enjoying sweeping sea views over the rooftops. The garden room was a warm and comfortable alternative to being outside ! We had a lovely time and would recommend Squirrels as a really good place for a family holiday in this area.
