The lakes offer free coarse and carp fishing, while woodland trails invite gentle rambles amongst an abundance of wildlife and wonderful bird-watching.
With Bideford, Barnstaple, Torrington and a sandy beach all within just 5 miles it is a truly convenient setting from which to explore North Devon and all its attractions. A pub and shops are just a short drive away.

Wifi service in the area is not consistent nor particularly fast, and hence the service cannot be guaranteed. It is usually sufficient for picking up emails etc but not for streaming films etc. It is sometimes necessary to move around to pick up a signal.

This was our third Christmas at Bulworthy, it's a beautiful place, so relaxing with great lodges and hot tubs and very friendly staff.

Amazing value for money! Huge cabin for the 6 of us, well cleaned and had all the utensils we needed. Location was accesible but be aware that the roads surrounding it are quite pothole heavy! The chestnut lodge does have quite a steep driveway too but we all made it up no problem. Plenty of places to visit nearby including Instow and Appledore (ferry runs at certain times of year). All around a great trip away with absolutely stunning scenery.

Beautiful and peaceful setting. The lodge itself has comfortable beds and sofas and plenty of living space. The kitchen equipment is quite basic but fine. The hot tub is fabulous. The only downside are the showers - I'm not sure anything can be done to improve them as they are both electric which never produce a much of a powerful shower, but they are okay. Slightly bigger towels would have been lovely. Everything else was lovely. thank you
