Guests say

Cranford House is a spacious and well-equipped cottage, ideal for multigenerational family gatherings and groups. Guests praise its beautiful garden, ample communal areas, and fun extras like a pool table and games console. The location is perfect for exploring North Devon’s coastline and nearby villages. While the house is full of character and charm, some guests note that it could benefit from a deeper clean and some maintenance. The housekeeper is responsive and helpful, ensuring a warm and welcoming stay. Overall, Cranford House offers a memorable and enjoyable base for a countryside getaway.

Several guests found the property clean and tidy, but a number of reviews mention only surface-level cleaning, lingering odours, and some mould. Cleanliness is generally acceptable but could be improved with a more thorough approach.

The location is highly praised, with guests enjoying easy access to the North Devon coastline, local villages, and amenities such as pubs and shops. The peaceful setting and beautiful surroundings are frequently highlighted.

Guests consistently mention the spaciousness, comfortable beds, and suitability for large groups and families. Some issues with heating and temperamental showers are noted, but overall comfort is rated highly.

The house is very well equipped, with a pool table, games console, and a well-stocked kitchen. Some maintenance issues, such as heating quirks and the need for more pool cues, are mentioned, but facilities generally meet or exceed expectations.

There are no specific mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.
