So peaceful and far from the madness of real life. Bed was very comfortable. Thank you so much for the lovely cream tea. George our dog totally enjoyed his stay. It was so lovely to see the countryside and hear and see the lovely birds. Thank you Sue and Tom for a lovely stay.

Lovely views over the valley with Parkham church tower just peeking over the trees. The accommodation is compact but very comfy, with a wood fire to curl up in front of. After a wonderful night's sleep you wake up to the sounds of the stream, birds tweeting, cows mooing and sheep munching. We had clear nights while we were there and the milky way was fantastic. Thoroughly recommend this property.

We had expected our Devon holiday to be the less interesting one of the two, but it turned out to be even more enjoyable. For one, I loved the quaint and cosy cottage. The outside space was delightful, with a bench overlooking a picturesque field, and a charming flower garden in front of it. We had quite a few sunny days so the bench was an excellent quiet spot for reading. As soon as we arrived at Bank Hall we were greeted by the owner, a lovely lady, who provided us with a cream tea as a welcome gift. Better than one we bought in a cafe! The cottage had a snug feel, and provided everything you could wish for. It was clean and comfortable. The shower was a little weak but lovely and hot. The only downside, if we can call it that, was the country lanes were pretty narrow and we were in a van, so going out each day and navigating them was an interesting experience. One time we had a near miss with a boy racer! Once we got used to it, however, it was fine. Westward Ho! beach was a fifteen minute drive away, and we spent some awesome days there, even on days when we couldn't make it onto the beach, watching the dramatic waves crashing was fascinating. We ate out in the Hoops Inn, the Thatched Inn, and went to Appledore twice and ate in the Beaver Inn and the Royal George. All very good eateries. So, all in all, a wonderful stay. Lovely cottage, lovely owners, lovely holiday.
