Monkleigh Mill in Devon is highly praised for its peaceful setting, cleanliness, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, and additional luxuries such as a hot tub. The property offers stunning views and a chance to unwind amidst nature, with some minor navigation challenges to its secluded location.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Guests consistently note the property's cleanliness, mentioning it is well equipped and very clean. There was a single mention of a fly infestation, but this seems to be an isolated incident.

The property's location is described as peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful views and wildlife. However, some guests found it difficult to locate and mentioned narrow lanes, which slightly impacts the score.

The majority of guests found the property comfortable, with cool bedrooms and a relaxing patio area. There were a few comments about uncomfortable sofas and a preference for separate beds for children, which suggests room for improvement.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the kitchen and hot tub. There were minor issues such as a missing TV remote and occasional poor internet, but overall guests were satisfied with the amenities provided.

While guests have mentioned thoughtful touches like a fridge stocked with essentials, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, it is not possible to accurately score this category. However, the hosts' attentiveness and the provision of such items when mentioned are appreciated.

I thought 2 weeks might be too long but we all had a great time at the cottage and local villages and beaches. The cottage was a great base and has everything you need, enjoyed the beautiful views from the top floor and hot tub. The Wi-Fi was very good thanks to starlink which was great. Thanks to Julia and Paul for all the friendly help, advice and service, lovely people.

Nothing was too much trouble for them and we had a wonderful week. The view from the terrace and the lounge is incredible and the hot tub was the best one we have used at any rental property. If you want peace and quiet then is the ideal property Steve and Pauline

The house and grounds were perfect. The small ménage of animals were great, I got to cuddle one of the super funny and chatty chickens. The hot tub was super relaxing. Julia and Paul were amazing hosts. When they found out it was my birthday they gave me a lovely bottle of Prosecco. Hope to be back soon.
