Guests say

Pleasant Spot Lodge offers spacious and comfortable accommodation in a tranquil, wooded setting, ideal for those seeking peace and a break from modern life. Guests appreciate the quiet location, proximity to nature, and convenient access to North Devon and Cornwall attractions. While many found the lodge clean and well-equipped, some noted issues with musty smells, maintenance, and the remote location. Overall, the property is well-suited for guests who value privacy and relaxation in a natural environment.

Several guests found the lodge clean, but others reported musty smells, spider webs, mould, and towels in poor condition. Cleanliness appears inconsistent, with some positive experiences and some significant concerns.

The peaceful, remote woodland setting is highly praised, offering tranquillity and privacy. While some found the access roads challenging and the location remote from shops, most appreciated the natural surroundings and proximity to local attractions.

Many guests described the lodge as comfortable and spacious, with good beds and a relaxing atmosphere. However, a few mentioned uncomfortable beds and a lack of outside sitting space, indicating some variability in comfort.

The lodge is generally well-equipped, but some guests noted maintenance issues such as broken lights, a faulty cat flap, dated decking, and unclear appliance instructions. Facilities are adequate but could benefit from further attention.

A guest suggested a welcome pack or long-life milk would be appreciated, but there is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches being provided. Please note that such items are not guaranteed.

If you prefer a quiet remote location then it's great. Short drive to amenities. No issues with the property, everything you need, and good value for money in my opinion. Would not hesitate to stay there again

Long way to any shop’s so a welcome pack or a long life milk would be very nice.Towels had seen better days, hard and smelly.Decking needed treating and the gate entrance was overgrown with bramble .Would not be going there again

Gorgeously peaceful lodge in a wooded valley surrounded by trees, bushes and plenty of birds. Be aware there are no facilities in the park, nor any wifi in the lodge. Fine by me. Also follow the directions given by owners, not your sat nav, the road in they recommend is not great as some bad pot holes, but the other road in is terrible and tad scary to drive on. The lodge was huge, clean and comfortable and a fair price as well. Only feedback was torch didnt work, which was only a problem as outside light didnt work! Also the recliner chair was a bit rickety. If you want a real break from modern life and don't mind a drive to get supplies, this is a wonderful location.
