Situated right beside the South-West Coastal Path, Riverside Mews is a relaxing, end-terraced riverside house that provides great holiday accommodation regardless of the time of year. Recently renovated in 2023 where new vinyl tiles floors have been laid on the ground floor and upstairs bathroom. The property enjoying stunning views across the River Torridge from the garden is also just a short level walk along the river to one side, and Bideford’s Victoria Park on the other (some 400 yards away). The path leads through the park (home to Burton Art Gallery and Museum and the Café du Parc) and on to the pretty port town of Bideford, with its pastel-coloured houses alongside a tree-lined quay. The park and its play areas are great for the young (and young at heart) with numerous playing fields, & a dedicated area for dogs, a small pool plus a skateboard park next to Bideford Town Football Club nearby.
What to Do? Maybe take a boat trip to the nature reserve at Lundy Island, which offers the chance to see seals and dolphins, or there are many a pretty fishing villages to explore in the area, starting with places such as Clovelly, Instow and Appledore. Just 2 miles away, the vast golden sandy beach of Westward Ho! is popular with surfers. If you’d rather stay a little closer to home, you can saunter along the coastal path that follows the river, yards from the water’s edge. The nearest slipway is 200 yards down river from the property, whilst keen cyclists and walkers can join the Tarka Trail, which passes through Bideford.

Wonderful holiday home in a brilliant location with views over the river. The accommodation had everything you could want for a weeks break. The only thing I'd mention is perhaps more comfortable seating in the garden, however we had our camping chairs that we sat out on. I'd definitely recommend this accommodation for a relaxing break in North Devon.

The river location is the USP, even in the rain being by the waterside is very special. All necessary facilities are provided and this property actually has a dedicated car parking space right outside! There is a walk along the river and area is quiet and dog-friendly.
