In a quiet location but only a very short walk to Instow’s dog-friendly beach, the Tarka Trail, pubs, restaurants and shops, this spacious seaside villa offers breathtaking views across the Torridge estuary towards Appledore.
The large kitchen/dining area provides seating for 10, with direct access to an enclosed garden, barbecue and patio area.
The house also has fast broadband, its own off-street parking for up to three cars, plus secure cycle/ windsurfer storage in the garage.
All this makes it ideal for large, two family and multi-generational holidays, walkers and cyclists looking for direct access to the South West Coastal Path, water sports enthusiasts and dog owners (2 pet maximum). Please note:

The Captain's House has a lovely homely feel to it and the views over the estuary are stunning. The owners are very helpful if you have any queries.Instow is lovely and unspoilt. The local deli, restaurants and ice creams are to be recommended.We would happily go again!

A very pretty little village with views across to Appledore. The accommodation was lovely, a big kitchen and dining area, a nice sitting room with lovely views and 4 perfectly adequate bedrooms with 2 en suite. The garden area was largely concrete with a raised grassy area but was fine for the dog to have a run around. We had some really nice welcome gifts on arrival, the keysafe was easy to find and there was parking for three cars. The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, pans and serving dishes and cutlery and there were extras available: for instance a drying rack, travel cot and high chair. The only negatives were that at the time of our holiday the bathroom door didn't lock and there was some conflicting information about bins and recycling posted up in the kitchen. We did however receive up to date information by email before we arrived.The beach at Instow is very nice although not suitable for swimming as it's on an estuary but we found good beaches within 5 miles or so.

We are a walking group of advancing years. The house was fully equipped to meet all our needs, and Katy was easily contactable if required. Instow is a beautiful non-commercialised area with several great eating places, a delicatessen. Ice creams on the beach are excellent, and one of our group went swimming every day.Sitting not far from the A39 travelling to anywhere along the coast is very easy.
